9000 Awesome Facts Pro is an application for iPhone and iPod Touch devices, which has 9000 of those random, sometimes useless, but still - great pieces of knowledge that people love so much hearing about.

For example, did you know, that people who are lying to you tend to look up and to the left (their left)?

Or, that there is no word in the English language that rhymes with the word "month"?

We have 9000 of those, and were pretty sure you wont easily put it down once you get your hands on it.

The app has clean, and simple interface, which looks great on your iPhone or iPod Touch and the interactions (scrolling, tapping) you do - feel natural and relaxing.

We have a huge database of facts - 9000 right now, and the database will constantly grow through free updates.

Reading through the facts is a pleasurable and rewarding experience:

You scroll down, and see a random facts appear each time in a beautiful and smooth animation.

If you dont want to scroll, just tap anywhere on the screen, and it will automatically scroll to the next fact.

The background is dark, as to lower the strain on your eyes, and the text is big and bright so you can just sit back, relax, and enjoy !

You can easily send the current fact youre seeing to a friend or add it to your favorites.

You can also turn off randomization, so that you go through all the facts in consequential order (hence avoiding repeats).

Wow, my kid cant get enough of this. Thank you! :) Im a bit old for fun facts, but it makes for a great reading time in the toilet :D

Great app, can go through these for hours. Caught a stupid fact here and there, but its one per 100, so its cool :D Keep it up!

Some bad moments

This app is fun but some of the "facts" are untrue, while others actually contradict one another.

They have about 2000 facts and about 7000 lies. Be careful with this app most of what it says is not true. Very disappointing.

An interesting set of facts, indeed. But when you "quote" facts it is most import ant that the quotes not have glaring errors. Example: "111,111,111 x 111,111,111 = 12,345,678,987,654,32" is incorrect. The square of 111,111,111 is 12,345,678,987,654,321. In your defense a typo may be cited, as the commas are placed correctly in your fact statement even though the trailing units position value of 1 is missing. This isnt the only error, but they are few in number.

This thing states that the University of Alaska spans four time zones, this is just plain insulting. Alaska has its own time zone (AST). Cant trust anything else on this waste of money app.

While this program is certainly a cute way of disseminating interesting information, I strongly advise people to exercise some scrutiny with regard to any "fact" provided. While some of them are correct (Buzz Aldrins mothers maiden name was in fact Moon), I have looked into a few "facts" I thought suspicious, and found while they are popular to believe on the internet, they arent "true." While I dont mean to be harsh with my score of only two stars, I do mean to reflect that the staff may want to more thoroughly review what information they term as facts, even if in the grand scheme, it may not really matter if a whales "member" (iTunes restricts the posting of the proper name, it would seem) is actually called a Dork (one of the many facts in this program that, according to a few marine biologists friends of mine, is not true). Worth a dollar, for sure. But not necessarily accurate.

Not only is the app not accurate, its not useful to share the one or two facts that are useful. No Facebook upload! Booo!
